Carolyne and I would like to thank all of our 144 registered golfers, guests and volunteers for making this event another huge success. We raised nearly $40,000.00, in huge part because of our golfers and great sponsors. I would like to give special thanks to Marti and Ray Huizenga for their continued support. I would also like to give great thanks to Linda Brown who is by far the hardest working woman I have ever been around and without her drive for sponsors and donations, this tournament would not be as successful as it is.
This year we had a Tournament first by Chuck Morton, who hit his first Hole in One in his several decades of golf. This was also great for him to win as he has been here from the start and is a friend. He won a XBox 360, which he in turn donated to a young boy at Chris Evert's Children's Hospital with sickle cell anemia. That hole also was our 50/50 prize hole, which Chuck also donated back the cash winnings to the Charity. It's people and hearts like his that make our Charity thrive.
Please mark your calenders for next year's event, which is scheduled for May 30, 2009. Check back to our website after the New Year for the location and registration information.
Thank you and God Bless,
Ben and Carolyne Koos
